The story of a man who lost everything,
and STILL chose to fight for more
Simon the Unconquerable
After being declared “one of the most broken patients ever saved” by emergency responders, Simon Clark rebuilt his life from the wreckage. Today, he climbs mountains, shares stages, and raises money for the heroes who saved him
On a quiet road near Cirencester, Simon Clark’s life was shattered in seconds.
A devastating car crash left him with a shattered neck, multiple organ ruptures, and more broken bones than doctors could count. His partner Lindy didn’t survive. Simon was taken to hospital by the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity who performed roadside surgery and placed him into a Coma, When he was admitted to hospital he was rushed into ICU and placed on critical life support.
Doctors didn’t think he’d live. If he did, they said, he’d never walk again.
Simon spent months unconscious. When he woke, he couldn’t speak or move. Blinking was his only form of communication.
But somewhere in that silence, he made a decision.
“One movement. One breath. One step at a time.”
Simon clawed his way back through agony, dozens of surgeries, and excruciating rehab. He refused to let trauma define him.
Today, Simon lives what he calls a “Life Without Limits.”
Driven a car left for scrap across part of the Sahara
He’s trekked to Everest Base Camp.
Hiked across the highlands of Iceland
Climbed the highest mountain in North Africa
Tracked bears in Transylvania
Cycled across the UK.
Delivered powerful keynotes to thousands.
And raised thousands for the air ambulance that saved his life
With every challenge, Simon reclaims what was taken from him, and inspires others to do the same.

Simon is on a mission to raise £4.5M for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity — to fund more life-saving missions, better equipment, and stronger emergency response teams.
